CEOE Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators, OGET Oklahoma General Education Test, OPTE Oklahoma Professional Teaching Examinations, and OSAT Oklahoma Subject Area Tests Study Guide
The purpose of Certification Examinations for Oklahoma Educators (CEOE) program is to ensure that all candidates seeking certification in Oklahoma have the knowledge and skills necessary for an entry-level educator in Oklahoma public schools.
This is actually a compilation of several categories of exams that assess mastery of basic skills, professional knowledge, and content area of specialization.
The CEOE tests include
Oklahoma General Education Tests (OGET) that contains multiple choice questions about critical thinking, computation and communication. In addition, there is one writing question.
The Oklahoma professional Teaching Examination (OPTE) accesses an applicant's professional skills and content knowledge. There are both written prompts and MCQs.
The Oklahoma Subject Area Tests evaluate the content area knowledge and classroom skills.
The Elementary Education CEOE test is comprises of two subtests.
Subtest 1 includes questions pertaining to reading, language art and social studies.
Subtest 2 includes questions concerned with Mathematics, Science, Health and Fitness, Fine Arts.
Apart from these there are several other tests as well that include multiple choice questions and constructed response questions.
